Malate Peter hails from Tanglang in Billiri local government area of Gombe state, Nigeria.
She was born in Kaltanga village, in Akko LGA, Gombe state, and was raised in Jigawa state, where she also had her primary and secondary education.
Malate went to Federal Polytechnic Bauchi where she obtained her Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Journalism. She later proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and obtained Bachelors of Education degree.
Malate developed a strong desire to become a journalist and author, having seen her father read newspapers while she was growing up.
She joined the Current Affairs/Press Club in secondary school and because of her dedication and determination, she was elected to serve as president of the club.
Today, Malate is an author writer. She has written several short stories on relationships and family life.
Aside attendance at conferences and seminars in Nigeria and abroad, Malate has also organised seminars and webinars to train Nigerian youths.
Malate is a co-author of the book “The Odessey of A Patriot”. A biography of a former Member of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Mr. Rambi Ayala
At a point in time, Malate worked with the Fidelity Bank in Bauchi.
